Step 1. Click the "Messages" symbol on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon lies in the leading left edge and looks like 2 tiny overlapping speech bubbles.

Step 2. Click the discussion having the message or messages you wish to delete. If it is not detailed on the initial Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to check out all of your exclusive messages. Click the discussion on that particular listing having the message you intend to remove.

Step 3. Click the "Actions" button and after that click "Delete Messages" on the Actions drop-down menu.

Step 4. Click the check boxes situated beside the messages you intend to remove.

Click "Delete" and then click "Delete Messages" to confirm that you wish to remove the chosen messages.

Tip
To erase a whole conversation rather than individual messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions food selection in the third action.

Warning
Removing an exclusive message in your Messages inbox does not remove it from the inbox of your conversation partner.
